Do not waste your money. I received these as a gift last Christmas...and the interior of the pans look like they're already [at least] 5 yrs old. I don't even cook everyday, so they have not had heavy use. I've used only wooden or plastic utensils, and a washcloth to clean...no scrubbers of any kind. The pans are also stored so that they do not scrape against one another. Even Target sells longer lasting cookware, and for half the price. My primary complaint is that the interior surfaces become marred from even the wood/plastic utensils and the coating becomes thinner over a short time. [Have I then been ingesting minuscule bits of "teflon" coating in my food?] Also the outer gray texturing is easily scratched, and the scratches are then very visible as the aluminum underneath is a silver color. To their credit, the pans do cook evenly and the handles don't get hot, but many inexpensive sets have those features.
I always "thought" the name Calphalon meant quality. Perhaps it does with their expensive commercial cookware, but the 10-pc Simply Calphalon set is simply awful. I say pass on these low-grade poseurs.

I'm very disappointed with these. They cook really well, the problem comes when you go to clean them. The handles are attached to the pans using fasteners which come through to the inside of the pans. Food cooks onto and around these and is near impossible to get off, defeating the purpose of having non-stick cookware. The $40 set of teflon cookware I had before this was easier to clean. I'll be getting rid of these when I have a chance and getting something else, maybe another cheap walmart set.

I bought these pans because I was tired of spending days cleaning cook-on scrambled eggs from my other pans - and didn't want to buy cheap non-stick pans due to all the bad press they've gotten in health news.
From what I read, Calphalon was the answer to every cooks dreams - NOT! I did exactly as the booklet told me, waited until the eggs were room temp, used the proper heat and amount of oil... and the pan has been soaking for 2 days now, I attack it several times a day with the cleaning pad they recommend, which barely removes any of the egg.
If you're looking for a non-stick (or even REMOTELY non-stick) pan - don't buy these....

When I moved to my new apartment, I decided to treat myself to a matching cookware set. I ended up with the Calphalon set and I couldn't be happier. The set is very durable and after 6 months still looks great. I originally had the circulon set but really there is no comparison. Food doesn't stick, these clean easy, heat is even, and it is affordable. The look of the set is very polished and clean. This alone is one of the main reasons I love the set. The weight is decent and the balance feel good when I'm holding the pot or pan.
The exterior is a little sensitive and these can and do scratch. They do show wear and tear after awhile as well but anything that is used will show wear. If you take care of it, then the set will likely last a long time. If you don't treat these well, then they won't last but that goes with anything.
I will have to reiterate because this is important information with this set:
Remember....NO dishwashers, NO metal utensils, NO harsh chemicals, NO abrasive scrubbers, NO cooking spray, NO stacking of pans, NO contact with other surfaces or the exterior WILL scratch
I would really give it a 4.5 but it isn't perfect since the set is so sensitive. Calphalon definitely has built a brand with me though. I will likely check out more of their products over time because my experience with this set has been so positive.

I was looking for a pan that food wouldn't stick to and didn't want the pan to flake into my food. I found that pan! Food cooks very nicely and the pans clean with ease. Not being able to use the dishwasher isn't even a bother since they clean so easily!
