This is a great shaker, the largest I could find, and it feels very good in your hand. The problem is that it is just about impossible to get the top off. It's hard when it's dry but you can get enough grip that it's not to bad, but when it's wet you can't get a grip and it is so hard to get off that it's not worth using. You should pass on this shaker unless you are going to get the boston shaker version.

I used this shaker set for a little while. You COULD get it to seal if you really JAMMED it in there, but my biggest complaint is the strength of the glass. Seemed okay until I washed it (under cold water), put it down to let it dry only to return and see a giant crack down the side. The thing was split in two, was pretty pissed. Boston shaker glasses are supposed to be tempered to resist chipping and cracking, but this one clearly doesn't cut the cake. Well actually I could cut a cake with the giant glass shard that fell off it. Boo, Craphalon.

Yeah, it doesn't seal at all. I have no idea why they sell this. Seriously. Go with something more traditional if you want something that works. We though Calphalon would be good, boy were we wrong...

Okay, this looked really cool and I thought I would like the shape of the metal shaker because it would be easier to handle. Wrong! The shape of the shaker causes it not to seal with the glass, and therefore, makes it useless as a boston shaker. I returned it and got a more traditional shaped shaker!
