This past year has been my adventure in learning to cook--I was the take-out/eat-out queen. So I decided to learn about cookware as well. I purchased a set of non-stick cookware that I've enjoyed but I then learned that everything is not best-cooked in a non-stick pan. I ran across this deal, and have cooked vegetables, soups, rice dishes, chicken, & one pot dishes in this. I've used it both on top of the stove, and in the oven, and finished in the oven after starting on the stove. I have had no problems with it. It cooks wonderfully and cleans up nicely.

The towel and spoon were fine as well. I have been inspired to get a saute pan from Calphalon One as well.

The pot works well and I use it often in the kitchen. It does cook evenly and is a great size for pretty much anything. I use it for cooking spaghetti mainly. It is deep enough to keep food inside instead of all over the stove. Then it is wide enough to cook lots of food as well. Overall a good buy. I am sometimes brutal if Calphalon doe snot add up to my expectations since their pots costs a lot. This one is worth it.



Be careful because there is only one pot when in the ad I bought from had 2 pots listed-- I was later told by the Sellers that it was an error. As a follow up I did some price comparisons to make sure I was not being ripped off. A price check shows that the listed price for this pot is the most reasonable of all. So if you want a good sized pot at a great price order this one. Enjoy!!

After a year of use, I am very pleased with this pot. But, I can't give it five stars because the glass lid is painted on the inside (to hide the how the metal trim ring is attached to the glass) and the paint is slowly pealing off the glass. One wonders if the paint is edible. The lid, as well as the pot is always washed by hand, and I must say clean-up is a breeze. By the way, Analon doesn't paint their glass lids.

I bought this set December 2003. After a year of use, the black "painted" rim under the lid has come off. I've always hand washed it, too. Also, I've noticed a couple of dents on the lid just from having it set on a drying rack.



On a positive note, the knife is awesome, very durable and high quality. The non stick material is also great. The pot itself is very easy to clean.

I bought this set about 9 months ago- I was going to be getting married soon and moving into a new apartment, my fiancé and I needed a good pot for pasta, beans, etc.



This pot is probably our most used piece of cookware, we use it all the time for pasta, soups, beans, sauces, etc. The non-stick surface holds up well- although it would be nice if this set came with a non-stick compatible whisk...



I have no complaints about this product, but if you care about the outside appearance of your pots- know that the Calphalon non-stick pots and pans (Calphalon contemporary, one, classic, etc.) have outsides that stain easily when they come in contact with liquids while cooking (oils, sauces, etc.) It doesn't bother me, but just a forewarning.



The Chef's knife is great- we have a full faberware knife set, the calphalon chef's knife, and 3 Henckles knives- the calphalon is right in between the faberware and henckles when it comes to quality.



The spoon is great, too- although we haven't used the cookbook.



I would definitely reccommend this set- it's also a great wedding gift or a good gift for someone moving into an apartment for the first time (or just moving in general).

This is this is one of the best pans I've ever had. It's really non stick. It cooks everything to perfection. I cook anything in it that will fit. An omlet or pancake will slid right out of the pan. Puddings will cook fast with hardly any watching or stirring. Clean up is a cinch with hot soapy water. Often you can just wipe out the pan. I bought several other pans and found all I really needed was this one.

The pot is fantastic and the price is right. Southeast is also a company that keeps their word. I am editing my last review but the system is not allowing me to change the Star Rating to 5 stars. They ruly deserve 5 Stars because of their customer service. So please disregard the 1 star rating - I will contact Amazon cust service to see how I can change it. But notwithstanding that issue let me tell you a summary of the drama.



6 days ago I wrote a brutal review about SE Consolidators and my missing pot. Amazon jumped on the matter and a A-Z claim was filed right away. Soon thereafter SE Consolidators called me to see if I was unhappy and if so how can they fix it. I was still angry but after speaking to their rep Ryan I realized that it was error. I apologized to Ryan and he still went out of his way to console me.



The only thing I can say is that there is only ONE 4 qt pot that is advertised in this deal. Some reviews may read as if it is more than one pot for the "bonus", but it is only one. The pot is great and enhances the dishes I prepare for the family. I have since collected approximately 6-8 other Calphalon pots to complete my collection. A price check shows that the price for this pot is the most reasonable. So if you want a good sized pot at a great price order from Southeast. Enjoy!!



LAST UPDATED NOTE: I later found the Amazon ad I copied stated 2 pots. I faxed it to Ryan and he explained later that it was in error and because of the misprint they would give me back some of the money. Now THAT is great service (smile).

I bought the set through Amazon along with the pots and pans (set). The utensils are all good. However, the only thing that was defective was the stainless container that holds the utensil set was broken (cracks in the rim) in two places. I have placed several calls to the supplier (only voice mails can be placed) and sent emails but absolutely no reply.



Not sure what to do because even Amazon does not facilitate returns when you buy from a third-party seller.



I love Amazon but will be very cautious of buying stuff from third-party sellers.

Hi,



I bought the set through Amazon along with the pots and pans (set). The utensils are all good. However, the only thing that was defective was the stainless container that holds the utensil set was broken (cracks in the rim) in two places. I have placed several calls to the supplier (only voice mails can be placed) and sent emails but absolutely no reply.



Not sure what to do because even Amazon does not facilitate returns when you buy from a third-party seller.



I love Amazon but will be very cautious of buying stuff from third-party sellers.

Looks like good lasting utensil set. I am having them for last 4 months and their performances are still good. Best advantage is the crock pot I got with the set.



Only disadvantage would be the turners, they are not high heat resistant.

This 7 piece cooking utensil set was a very good price compared to other sites. I actually bought this for a friend who was making houskeeping after divorcing and setting up her own house. I only recommend to people the best stuff and this is a nice set.
