I already owned a Calphalon nonstick skillet which I love because it's a convenient size and the handles never burn you, so it's easy to take from stove to table. I wanted another Calphalon pan for this reason primarily, and the packaged set was a great price on special (around $40--I see from the Amazon website that it's gone way up, however). The spoon and dishtowel included are of good quality. The cookbook is worthless, featuring tv chefs and idiotic recipes. (I donated it to a library booksale.) Nonetheless, at $40 this was an excellent deal; however at the usual Amazon price I'm not sure it's worth it to get some extras that would only cost a few dollars anyway.

I love this pan!!It is big enough to cook a large meal in it (I have five kids, so very important!), and it cleans up easily. I recently used it for both a simmering stovetop meal and stovetop to oven meal and it worked excellent both times. I would highly recommend this pan. Of course, the best thing is the bonus Top Chef cookbook!

I received this set a year ago and have been using the pan ever since! I love this pan. The size is fantastic (it much bigger than the 10 inch pan) and it has become my go to pan! I have had no warping problems and have used it over 100 times!! Definitely worth it to pick one up, (the extras didn't impress me and were re-gifted to a top chef fan, so I can't review those!!)
