After 8+ years of pretty much daily use by 5 people we have been unable to destroy these pans.

Two kids learned to cook and teach dad,and my mother in-law forgot how to cook using these pans. All the while my wife would always say, " my poor pans live to cook another day". Well 1 is finally sticking a little and the most used 8" is starting to look its age I think I'll treat the Queen to a new set, she loves her pans and loves to cook, both kids and Mom are out of the house now and based on past performance I have little doubt that the new set I'm ordering tonight will be a part of our legacy. Can not wait for Thanksgiving to watch the kids fight over who takes the old set!!

I bought this set for my wife's birthday. When she opened it, she found out the 3 qt saucepan was out of round, the lid would not fit. I called KitchenAid based on their "hassle-free" warranty claims in the packaging. The lady could not have been nicer. She told me that a replacement would be on its way, but would take six weeks since it is backordered. She told me that I didn't need to return the defective one and hoped I would enjoy the replacement.

Ten weeks later and no saucepan. I called KitchenAid back and found that the woman COMPLETELY misled me. KitchenAid doesn't even own this line. It's a Meyer Corporation in California. I now have to box up the defective pan and send it to them. That process is not a problem.

The problem is KitchenAid and their horrible support. I hate to think how they act if I bought something larger from them.

This is one of the best sets of cookware that you can get. It heats evenly, is heavy, and cleans-up so easily. We cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are using a glass top stove just do not over heat the pans. They do not take the place of cast iron.

This set is the perfect all around set. It has everything you would need for everyday cooking.

The most important thing to remember is they should not be washed in the dishwasher.

That doesn't mean you can't wash them in the dishwasher, but the outside will turn an ugly white color!

The pans are the perfect size and the large covered fry pan is perfect for fried chicken!

I would recommend this set to anyone

Easy to clean and the non-stick is still working great 3 months into it. were a family of 4 so i would say they get about average use from a family our size. we use them atleast 6 days a week( we try not to eat out much). The handles are great not once have they been hot.

I had been using this set for the past 3 months.. I just love it... the non stick works great. Cleaning is easy & the lids are heat proof. I cooked biryani (chicken & veg) twice in the 6 qt cookpot & it came out pretty well. I am not quite sure what the life of this set would be but I am hoping it would last 2 yrs. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The reason I gave it 4 stars & not five:

1. I want to see how long these can last

2. The pans bottoms are discolored after couple of uses & they wont go off with scrubbing. It does not damage the coating or anything it just does not look good.

All is all - a good set for the money spent.

You would think based on KitchenAid reputation and the cost of this set it would be hands down an excellent set for most any kitchen. Unfortunately, and not until you have read all the fine print, would you discover the set is NOT dishwasher safe and as such unacceptable to be returned after having made the assumption and had already ran them through a couple of cycles to learn they now cannot be returned. It is ashame to later learn that lesser known makers of a similar sets of cookware, costing half as much, IS dishwasher safe. Lessons learned for when the handles degrade and fall off this product that we thought was a premier set of cookware. Buyer Beware. Read very carefully. The devil is in the details.

I don't cook daily but when I do, it's more like an all day affair and this set does get the job done and they do an excellent job. They are very easy to handle and i've never seen a lid fit so tightly!. i would highly recommend this set to anyone. Only minor complain i have is that the rubber covering for the lid handle does not cover the whole thing. although this is very minor, i learned it the HARD way.

I purchased this set in October of 2009 and I use them daily...I love to cook and this set has made cooking and cleaning a dream. I read the reviews before purchasing and was hesitant because of some of the experiences but I have nothing but praise for the product.

I do take good care of them....no dishwasher or metal utensils...I cook on the lowest temperature necessary rarely above medium heat... so I hope to have them a long time....so far they look like new.

***A tip on cleaning the outside...use baking soda and a green scrubby for stubborn oil stains.***

Thank you KitchenAid you have not disappointed me yet.

I have been extremely pleased with this set of cookware! It heats evenly, cleans up exceptionally well, (inside and out), and they look great. Only minor negative comments, which aren't really so much "negatives", but more like "things to know":

The heat-proof grips on the pot lid are kind of small. If you aren't careful, it's easy to burn yourself on the metal part of the handle.

The instructions say to never use non-stick spray; I have found that it's almost impossible to cook eggs without them sticking. I try not to add unnecessary fat so didn't want to use oil or butter. I've finally broken down and used cooking spray and it hasn't caused any problems. (instructions warned that a residue would build up)

I agree with another reviewer that the sizes of the pots are a bit small and odd. The smallest one is really too small for just about everything. (it's too small to heat up canned soup!) There's a big gap between the 3 quart pot and the big stock pot (I think it's an 8 quart). However, Amazon has a 4.5 quart stockpot that matches this set, and I think that will fill in the gap nicely.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the large, covered skillet. I've not seen a piece like this in most "sets" -- it's a great piece to have.

For the money, you simply can't beat this set. I would give 5 stars except for the odd sizes of the pots, and perhaps the fact that I've burned my hand on the lid handle more than once!

great heating surface, cooks evenly, easy grip handles, variety of sizes for all kind of cooking, beware though we used a plastic spoon with a metal handle and the the metal handle hit the pan and chipped the pan, never, never use metal anything with these pans, and never put them in the dishwasher, if you want to keep that great finish

We purchased this set as a Christmas gift for our daughter and her family. When she opened the gift we were all very pleased with the appearance of the cookware as well as the weight of the pans. The cookware has been used on a daily basis since Chritmas and is performing well. No scorched or burned foods such as you might get from using pans without a heavy bottom. The fact they they should not be put in the dishwasher is not an issue because these pans clean up so easily. It is nice to have attractive cookware that can go directly from stove or oven to the table. I would not hesitate to make this purchase again. What a wonderful wedding gift it would make.

I just received his set about a week ago. Not a long time to test it just yet but giving my review on the quality thus far. But first, let me say I ordered this set through Amazon on a Friday afternoon and received it Saturday morning! I was floored at how quickly it arrived...and with free shipping! Ok, so for the set. I am no regular cook but want to start so I did weeks and weeks of research before settling on this set. I wanted a set that had 12 pieces, clear lids and the covered handles and that could go in the over. I researched between stainless or hard anodized and it seemed the hard anodized was even stronger than stainless yet had the non-stick benefit. I opened the box and was leary of what the pans might feel like in my hand as I had never seen these in person. This is a super nice heavy set of cookware! I feel like a gourmet chef using them! They are very substantial and the hard anodized surface is all one piece inside, out, and bottom. Very quality stuff! I have only cooked with them once so far and was so impressed with the clean-up. Very easy, even easier than my old non-stick set. I highly recommend this set to the beginning or very experienced cooks!

We purchased this cookware less than a year ago. In a short time, our gas stove had licked the finish right off the exterior of every pot and pan. Totally discolored, and a decent percentage of the surface is down to the bare metal. Totally unacceptable.

I sent one of the pots and a picture of all pots and pans to the warranty address... have not heard back and it's been 2 months.

Based on the other reviews, we might have received a defective set, but we're totally baffled, and not nearly as confident about the KitchenAid brand as we were previously... especially with the totally unacceptable customer service.

Strangely enough, it's the inside of the cookware that has disappointed us in past purchases (Pampered Chef and even ScanPan), and the insides of these pots still look new.

I purchased this set of cookware 18 months ago, and I haven't regretted it. I haven't noticed any wear, even on the 8-inch skillet that gets used every day for fried eggs. I like the glass lids and the stay cool handles (although I wish there was a little less exposed metal on the lid handles - I've burnt myself on it, but only a couple times). I went with the 12-piece set instead of the 10-piece because I wanted the 12-inch (I think 3QT) saute pan which isn't included in the 10 piece set, and I wanted an 8QT stock pot instead of the 6QT that comes with the other set. It was a good choice for me because the 12-inch saute pan is great. I use it all the time. I call it my chicken pan. It turns out, though, that I don't really use the 8QT stockpot much - I thought I'd use it for soups and stews - but for me it's too big, too deep. I saved up and got a 5.5 QT Le Creuset French oven for that (and more), but that cost me much more than this whole set! The 3 saucepans are nice, but I have a gripe with the 1 QT - with the lid off and empty it tends to tip over. But that's a minor annoyance. You're not going to hand this cookware down to your children, but the beauty of this mid-range set is that it's much better than cheap cookware and it'll serve you very well while (if like me) you save up to buy the expensive stuff a piece at a time.

I spent a week reviewing and researching all the different types of cookware sets on here. I originally came on here to purchase a Calphalon set for my wife. After seeing all the poor reviews on them, I found this KitchenAid product. It had great reviews for over half off the Calphalon sets. We have cooked several meals with these sets and nothing sticks to them. They have a lifetime warranty, so you can not beat that either.

For the price, I didn't expect these to be as heavy as they were. I mean heavy in a good way; heavy = durable. I like the glass lids, although it would be nice to have a little vent hole. The grips are wonderful, they definitely do not get hot. The outsides of the pots clean up as easily as the insides, which surprised me. And, so far, the insides have performed well. Food comes off easily, they clean up very easily. How long they last like that remains to be seen. I've never had non-stick last very long. But, so far so good. No sign of any trouble. The smallest pot is pretty small, and I haven't had a need to use it yet, but the largest pot is the perfect size. And, on Amazon, the 12 piece set is priced less than I've seen the 10 piece set everywhere else, so, it's like that smallest pot is a freebie, anyway. I have found the "even heating" doesn't apply to the skillet. Not that I expected the whole bottom to get as hot as the parts that are just above the flame, but, since these are made of a product that are supposed to be the best at even heating, I guess I expected it to perform a little better in that sense. But, it's no worse than any other skillet I've ever used except for my iron skillets. Most of the reviews I've read are pretty accurate: these are GREAT for the price. They're far better than more expensive sets I've had.

I had to get rid of my previous cookware as it was so heavy I had trouble lifting it, especially the large fry pan. This cookware is very easy to clean and is very easy for me to manage. I needed a relatively inexpensive set of pots and pans for my new flat top stove and these looked like they would work.

Needless to say, not only did they work perfectly on my flat top stove, they also performed better than I expected, plus talk about a breeze to clean. Even if it says not to put them in the dishwasher, who cares... they are so easy to clean and put away in minutes, there is hardly any elbow grease required in cleaning this cookware.

Oh and incidently, they are great-looking too. I am very happy with this set. No complaints from me whatsoever.

I have been cooking using these for a while now. I can tell, for sure, they are amazing. This is my best set so far, well, not considering LeCreuset's cast iron items that I have. The only problem it gives me is that I can not put them in the dishwasher. It is recommended to wash them by hands. I stick to it. The sizes are right (I have a family of 3, even though I wish they had a little bigger pan for frying. So, make sure to check the sizes of all items. They come with nice see-through lids, which on top have some rubber and are cool to touch. I also started using less oil when I fry, so my cookking became a little healthier.

As to the word "HARD-ANODIZED" some people say it is not as good, as stainless steel. Come on, I hate stainless steel frying pans. They just burn the food. And I am not that bad of a cook and I cook every day. Well, I have done my research, and I still choose Hard-Anodized. It's definitely better and MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE HEALTHIER that Teflon coating and all those non-stick coatings that you find on aluminum pans that sell for 20 - 30 bucks or less.

So, good luck! Oh, almost forgot, I bough this set at a slightly higher price, so for you it'll be a great deal! Do not even bother to check other stores - Amazon has the best price, and I absolutely love Super Saver Shipping option :))

This is a great set. It cleans easy, looks great and is comfortable to use. The reasonable price is just the icing on the cake. The softgrip handles are awesome. The handles are comfortable and they insulate your hands from the heat (unlike some metal handles on other sets). I use these every day!

Great product. I do a lot of cooking and when I moved into my own apartment I decided to buy a set of pots and pans that would last me a while and hold up over time. I bought this cookware set a while back and am completely satisfied with my purchase. I was amazed at how much is offered in this set and the quality of the cookware. I was expecting that for the price I was paying that the pots and pans would be poor quality and wouldn't hold up, but they've turned out great. The nonstick surface has held up well, especially considering that I don't take special care of them. I've used metal utensils to stir and scrape the pans and wash them in the dishwasher, and they are still in near perfect condition. I've had problems with other brands with the nonstick coating peeling, but these show no signs of any damage. The handles feel great in the hand. The lids fit perfectly on the pots and pans. All around, this is great cookware and especially when you consider the price. You can't find a better more affordable set out there. If you're looking to stock your kitchen with a set of good quality nonstick pots and pans, I'd consider buying these.
