I'm thrilled with this purchase. The utensils work great and are a pleasure to use and to easily clean up. The stainless steel crock is a beautiful addition to the kitchen counter and complements stainless steel appliances wonderfully. The spatulas are flexible and work way better to "get it all" when scraping mixing bowls than any spatula I've ever owned before. The only pieces that I'm not the hugest fan of are the wooden turner (it is too thick to be able to easily get under a lot of things that need to be turned) and the large nylon turner (it is a little too big and quite a bit too flexible, which means it's hard to flatten out meat with it in the skillet). I supplemented this purchase with other individual pieces: the Calphalon soup ladle, potato masher, and a simply wonderful Oxo brushed stainless steel turner, for using against hard surfaces like Corning Ware or my glass baking dishes. These things get too hot to use nylon utensils on, anyway.

Love these utensils. They don't scratch up my pots and pans (like my metal ones) and they're easy to clean (dishwasher safe). The crock it comes in is big enough to hold all your other utensils as well. Great quality, great price! I even bought a set for my friend as a house warming gift and he loves it as well.

These are high quality and I recommend them. One minor thing: Might just be that I haven't used wooden utensils much, but I was a bit surprised by how rough these are. There defintely aren't any splinters, but they are not smooth. After washing in dishwasher (top rack) a few times, I think spoon got significantly rougher, so I'm going to wash them by hand from now on.

I love Calphalon products because the quality is usually top notch. These lived up to that expectation. All the tools are very strong and I think will last for years. The wooden spoons are some of the strongest I've ever seen. My favorite part is that the stainless container can hold another 6-10 items so you could fit the remainder of your tools in it as well.

I purchased this Utensils Set based entirely on my use of the Calphalon Nylon All Purpose Turner, which I had purchased before buying this 4 pack. I'm pleased with my purchase, although in honesty I mainly use my Favorite Calphalon All Purpose Turner most of the time. Occasionally I'll cook Pancakes and the wider spatula within this set comes in quite useful.



The Price, (Hence the Rating of a 4 instead of a 5), is a bit High verses buying the equivalent Nylon Utensils from a 99 cent Store. But the quality, strength and feel of the utensil in your hand out-weighs the momentary shock at the register. I'm pleased with my purchase and it may appear that I am now on the road in becoming a "Calphalon-Snob". (In replacing all of my Cook-ware and utensils with Calphalon products.) I only have one Calphalon Unison Slide Nonstick 12-Inch Covered Omelette Pan thus far., but I find I use it a lot.

I had these on my wish list on Amazon.com and sometimes you can snag them on here for around $13-15 for the set (when you add to cart to see the price), but they've been at $19.95 for awhile so I went and used my $5 coupon and purchased this same set at Bed Bath & Beyond. The quality is good enough for me, as I am not an avid cooker. The silvery part of the handle (shows the Calphalon logo) is a rubberish material so that is good for gripping and not slipping out of your hand and into hot water or on the floor! I have Teflon coated pans and these will work just fine. Even at $19.99 it's still a good price b/c these utensils alone range from $7 and up.

I was very excited to get my new non-stick Calphalon cookware and 4 piece nylon utensil set. The first time I cooked with high heat on my Calphalon non-stick skillet the nylon Calphalon spatula melted. The front edged flaked or melted, whatever you want to call it. It's now peeling into my food. Also, the solid spoon now has a white-ish tint to the front portion of the spoon after using it in boiling water. I have never put any utensils in the dishwasher or used them in a way other than what the manufacture recommends. I am deeply disappointed in this set. I will take it back for a refund as soon as I can find a superior replacement.



Note: The box says silicone and nylon heat resistant to 500 and 400 degrees, respectively.

Calphalon is probably best known for their chef quality cooking pans (which I also own) but they're starting to make a name for themselves with their supporting cast of cooking tools as well. I've used a broad variety of kitchen utensils over the years from super cheap wood ones to high quality Good Grips. Of them, Calphalon are among the very best. The reason is simple: extremely high build quality. All of the Calphalon utensils are made of high density plastic with slightly softer plastic handles. They are a single piece of forged nylon which makes them extremely durable. I've been using a set for over a year non-stop and they still look new. Because they are nylon, they are hugely resistant to heat and will not easily melt or deform if accidentally left in a hot pot or pan. They also will not scratch your non-stick pots and pans (or even hard anodized pans if you have them). They also each have a small eyelet that will allow you to easily hang them if that's your thing.



I've never had a problem with the gray part of any of these utensils popping off. I've also never had any of the Nylon flake off or get stressed from repeated use. I use these tools literally everyday, but I suppose that it is possible that others have used them more strenuously than my family. From my experience, I'd say this is about the best set of kitchen tools that I've ever owned.



If you prefer professional kitchen tools, these are for you. For a slightly higher price you get a much nicer tool that will last practically forever. As well made as Calphalon's pot/pan sets, they're premium quality utensils.



Highly recommended.

I gave this to my daughter to go along with the starter 10pc set, I personally have not used them, she say it's ok but she hasn't cook much in her life at 29, so she's just happy to have them. I wanted her to have the right type utensils for the cookware so she wouldn't destroy the set I bought for her, not me to use,:( I'm such a good mommie!!!!

I'm thrilled with this purchase. The utensils work great and are a pleasure to use and to easily clean up. The stainless steel crock is a beautiful addition to the kitchen counter and complements stainless steel appliances wonderfully. The spatulas are flexible and work way better to "get it all" when scraping mixing bowls than any spatula I've ever owned before. The only pieces that I'm not the hugest fan of are the wooden turner (it is too thick to be able to easily get under a lot of things that need to be turned) and the large nylon turner (it is a little too big and quite a bit too flexible, which means it's hard to flatten out meat with it in the skillet). I supplemented this purchase with other individual pieces: the Calphalon soup ladle, potato masher, and a simply wonderful Oxo brushed stainless steel turner, for using against hard surfaces like Corning Ware or my glass baking dishes. These things get too hot to use nylon utensils on, anyway.

Love these utensils. They don't scratch up my pots and pans (like my metal ones) and they're easy to clean (dishwasher safe). The crock it comes in is big enough to hold all your other utensils as well. Great quality, great price! I even bought a set for my friend as a house warming gift and he loves it as well.

These are high quality and I recommend them. One minor thing: Might just be that I haven't used wooden utensils much, but I was a bit surprised by how rough these are. There defintely aren't any splinters, but they are not smooth. After washing in dishwasher (top rack) a few times, I think spoon got significantly rougher, so I'm going to wash them by hand from now on.

When I saw that the product was made by Calphalon, I was expecting quality. While they may be quality tools, they're a little lacking in finish. The wood is very porous and rough, almost like they missed a step. From the picture I was expecting at least the handles would be smooth or have a polish like finish.



They're just extremely uncomfortable to hold, almost scratchy and rough, it just feels like it's drying out your hands. The turner has a splinter sticking out of it, I took some sandpaper to it but it's still missing a chunk now. I have nicer wooden spoons that I got from the dollar store. But for the price I suppose they're okay, but they don't live up to the Calphalon name.
