The reviewer may have followed the instructions for use, but probably is just a bad cook. Yes food will stick to the pans. That is the point! If you want to have food not stick when you saute, use a non-stick pan. The food sticks so that you have a way to make a proper sauce, the stuck bits add flavor to a reduction sauce, and clean the bottom of the pan.
These are GREAT pans if you know how to use them and know how to cook, but they are not idiot proof.

Highly recommended. These pans are amazing! If not, they are guaranteed for life. You really can't beat that for the price. I cook like a chef now b/c I cook with what chef's use! Bon appetite!

I bought these pans a couple weeks ago to replace my husband's t-fal from college (we've been married for five years and I got tired of eating Teflon). I don't regret a single dollar spent.
Every meal has been better, easier, tastier. And the cleanup is a breeze. My husband even put some hamburger patties in the skillet straight from the fridge with no oil. It left some white discoloration on the skillet, but a couple of swipes with Barkeeper's Friend and a Scotchbrite pad and it was gone.
And the pans look great. Now, I just need to add a few more pieces to the set (a smaller saucepan would be helpful).
In any case, this set makes me want to cook at home every night.

We got these a year and a half ago, and they are amazing. They take all the abuse we give them, and they still cook amazingly evenly. We do hand wash them, but, don't tell my husband, I've thrown them in the dishwasher before. I've never used such an evenly heating pan, especially on a gas stove. I can't recommend these enough.

We were sold on this set from a local dealer who told us that these were the best and only set of pots and pans that we'd ever need. Like fools, we bought the pitch and the set. Here's the bottom line: We used them according to the manufacturer's instructions and 14 months later, they are performing terribly. Food sticks to the bottom almost every time. You might be thinking that we probably used a brillo pad on them, let them soak overnight or put them in the dishwasher (all of these are no-nos), but we didn't. And honestly, the non-stick surface was a mediocre performer from day one. And who wants a set that you can't load up in the dishwasher anyway? And no soaking? Are you serious? Afraid so. We should have read all the fine print first (as usual).
Essentially, you have to clean them as soon as you use them and when the no-stick surface turns out not to be, you have to use a dish cloth to "scrub" them out. Good luck with that. This is NOT a lifetime set. Maybe, MAYBE, it would be worth the price tag if it lasted 10 years, but it won't. The regular ol' teflon stuff is just as durable as the Calphalon Anodized One set, does better in the no-stick category, is workable in the dishwasher and oh yeah, it isn't $500+. If you are determined to go with Calphalon, I would get the regular steel/ chrome set. This less expensive set is far more durable, less finicky, less annoying and a better value all the way around. If you get these as a gift, then be glad and take 'em back for the cash.
