 "I love this pan!" 2008-06-09
By Kyle A. Locascio (Indy)
I purchased a pan like this for my vacation home and loved it so much that I bought a second one for my full-time home. It is heavy and sturdy and cleans up so easily. You'll love it too.

 "Perfect sauce pan" 2008-03-03
By M. A. Willis (Saint Louis, Mo.)
This is a perfect non-stick sauce pan. The handle is comfortable and well balanced. The food just slides out of the pan. It washes like a dream whether in the dishwasher or by hand. It's one of the few pans that can go into the dishwasher. It's worth every penny. Buy it and enjoy it.

Established in 1892, the John Ritzenthaler company (Ritz) has long been synonymous with the finest quality in home textiles. Enjoy this smart and sophisticated Calphalon 2 piece cotton kitchen towel comprised of 1 solid yellow and 1 yellow large checked terry towel. Calphalon is a name equated with quality in the kitchen. Each Calphalon towel is made from yarn dyed combed cotton, is soft and durable, oversized, and absorbent. The Calphalon terry towels are anti microbial treated to inhibit the growth of bacterial odors and to extend the useful life of the towel. This is achieved by controlling deterioration caused by mildew. The solid terry towel offers a traditional weave design and absorbent terry loops on both sides, while the large check towel is constructed using a terry ribbed weave design to withstand rigorous scrubbing. Both towels feature a yellow embroidered Calphalon logo and measure 30 inches long by 17 inches wide. Always wash towels before first use. Machine wash cold, with like colors and tumble dry low. Do not bleach or use fabric softeners.

 "Great! Cookware" 2009-10-10
By Molly C. Lewis (Western Colorado)
I had to get rid of my previous cookware as it was so heavy I had trouble lifting it, especially the large fry pan. This cookware is very easy to clean and is very easy for me to manage. It cooks evenly and doesn't weigh in at heavyweight. My family is grown and gone so the sizes are perfect. I belong to a cooking club and have put all the pieces to good use and am very pleased with my purchase. Thank you, KitchenAid and Amazon for offering the set at such a great price.

 "Great Cookware" 2009-08-10
By Judith Ramos (Miami, Fl)
It was as good as previous reviewers claimed it to be. It cooks evenly and has a very pleasant look. I would recommend it to everybody.

 "Brilliant!" 2009-08-09
By Christine B. Rodriguez (Phoenix, AZ)
I needed a relatively inexpensive set of pots and pans for my new flat top stove and these looked like they would work.

Needless to say, not only did they work perfectly on my flat top stove, they also performed better than I expected, plus talk about a breeze to clean. Even if it says not to put them in the dishwasher, who cares... they are so easy to clean and put away in minutes, there is hardly any elbow grease required in cleaning this cookware.

Oh and incidently, they are great-looking too. I am very happy with this set. No complaints from me whatsoever.

 "Cookware Set" 2009-05-22
By T. Buddenberg
I love this set of cookware. Nothing sticks to the pans and they are so easy to clean. I don't have to use as high of heat either on my gas stove top.

 "Great buy" 2009-04-16
By X. Cao (New England, USA)
This set is great for your kitchen. Good material, good looking and works great. Only complaint is that the pans are bit small.

 "Calphalon Katana" 2009-09-14
By Laura A. (Los Angeles, CA USA)
This is a nice set of steak knives, the only little problem was that the box came damaged. Other then that everything else was great, the knives themselves came undamaged. Normally I wouldn't have paid that much attention to the box being damaged as long as the item or items are not damaged, but seeing how these Calphalon Katana set were purchased as gift, I would have been more than happy to give a five star rating. This is time I was lucky to receive undamaged items (in this case knives), but next time how knows, because damaged boxes usually mean that the product inside might be damaged. Overall a five star rating for the knives themselves, great set I would say.

"The sharpest, coolest steak knives!" 2009-05-28
By Ernie L. Shown (San Antonio, TX)
These steak knives are fantastic...sharp, well-balanced, and they look great. They are the perfect compliment to the Calphalon Katana chef's knives. I only have one minor complaint -- they come in sets of 4. Four is not quite enough for entertaining at our house, and eight are too many. Still I highly recommend these knives!

 "Excellent knives" 2009-03-12
By A. Chadha
Wonderful set of knives. They are incredibly sharp (I've used them to carve uncooked meat during prep). Definately worth the price

 "Classy Clean and Contemporary" 2008-06-23
By C. A. Kluwe (Austin, TX)
I was a bit hesitant about buying these knives as I'd read from another site a person had problems with the knives rusting quickly (they noted it happened within an hour, not that they'd left the knives in the sink overnight). However, I have a contemporary styled set of Wusthof Grand Prix II knives and need non-traditional steak knives to match. One thing that allayed these fears was Amazon's return policy. Another thing was Calphalon's lifetime warranty. Thankfully, I have had to use neither.

The black you see on the handles is a polyresin that is actually quite comfortable. It imparts some warmth to the design and offers grip not seen in items like the Wüsthof 8-Piece Stainless-Steel Steak Knife Set with Wooden Gift Box. This also gives the handle some size and makes it less dainty -- enough that you would feel secure bearing down with the blade. The blade is also very hard and cuts through even tough meats like warm butter. I have not had to use the saw tip yet. Were it not for the light weight of the knives, I may have bought the kitchen knives as well for their style.

If you like light knives you will appreciate this set as well. The tang goes all the way through the handle but I would put the balance point more near the center. My only quibble with Calphalon (and the reason for only 4 stars) is why only 4 knives? I've noticed this with other manufacturers as well. 4 knives seems like too few while 8 knives seems like too many. I'm single so 4 knives suits my needs plenty, but occasionally will have 3-5 people over for dinner. Do I try not to serve anything that requires a serious knife? Cajole guests into sharing? Pop for the extra 4 and leave 6 or 7 knives languishing for the majority of the time? Help a guy out!

 "Best knives ever!" 2008-06-22
By Chris Priest (Manchester, CT USA)
I recently purchased the Calphalon Katana series complete knife set and they are awesome. Not only are they the shapest knives I have ever owned but they look and feel great in you hand. Once I found out about the steak knives I had to have them and guess what they follow suit. They are sleek and super sharp. The serrated tip cuts through any meat like butter and the rest of the straight edge slices anthing to paper thin slices with ease. I love these knives and they are worth the investment.
